Mobile Workstation
Whether in the field, at a trade show, or in a mobile control room, modern operations require workstations that are flexible, robust, and ready for immediate use. This is where mobile solutions come into play: individually designed workstations built into flight cases that protect equipment while providing a functional working environment.
Ground Station in the Field or a Control Case?
Depending on the application, the requirements can differ significantly. While compact control setups are often needed in the event or broadcast sector, operations in the field primarily demand robustness, mobility, and a clear structure for the technical equipment.
The Control Case – A Mobile Control Room in a Flight Case
A good example of a mobile workstation is a custom-built control rack. Designed according to customer specifications, it is equipped with 19-inch mounting bays and offers a well-thought-out combination of equipment integration and workspace.
The control rack features a fixed and a pull-out work surface, allowing comfortable operation with a laptop, mixing console, or control systems. The top lid with gas struts enables quick opening and also provides a mounting option for displays, which can be positioned when the case is opened.
The flexibility of such solutions is also evident in the streaming sector. A mobile webcast studio, for example, combines a work surface, monitor mounts, a keyboard drawer, and storage space in a single case. The lid of the flight case can also be used as a table, allowing the workstation to be expanded within seconds. Cable feed-throughs, rear service doors, and foam-lined inserts ensure that all equipment remains protected and well organized at all times.
Ground Stations for Field Operations
Requirements become even more specialized when it comes to ground stations for military or security-related applications. In these scenarios, the focus is not only on transporting and organizing equipment, but on creating a fully functional mobile workstation that performs reliably even under demanding conditions.
Such ground stations can be used, for example, for controlling and monitoring drone systems, sensor technology, or communication equipment. The cases serve simultaneously as a transport solution, equipment carrier, and operational workstation.
At ProCase, many of these systems are developed as custom-built solutions. Together with the customer, the structure, interior layout, and features are tailored precisely to the specific application.
These solutions may include:
Individually designed interior layouts for computers, monitors, radio equipment, or control units
Work surfaces, monitor mounts, and pull-out elements for ergonomic operation
Robust constructions for use in demanding field environments
Customer-specific color options, such as olive green for military applications
Powder-coated aluminum profiles for enhanced durability, corrosion resistance, or visual requirements
In this way, a flight case becomes far more than just a transport solution. It becomes a fully functional mobile workstation that protects equipment, keeps it organized, and is ready for use wherever it is needed.
Tailored Solutions for Specialized Requirements
Whether it is a ground station in the field, a mobile control setup, or a compact broadcast workstation, the key factor is that the system is precisely tailored to the user’s requirements. That is why many of our solutions are developed in close collaboration with our customers and implemented as custom-made projects.
Anyone looking for a mobile workstation that perfectly matches their equipment and operational needs will find the right solution at ProCase.
